Grove Parent Curriculum Night

We will continue to host a Grove Parent Curriculum night this year, however, it will be held virtually via Zoom. This event is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, September 3^rd starting at 6:30 p.m. A principal message will be provided to parents at 6:30 p.m. followed by the live Zoom Sessions with individual classroom teachers. Each teacher will provide two identical sessions that evening and parents can choose which time slot session to attend.

We will follow the schedule listed below:

6:30-6:40 Principal Message

6:45-7:15 Teacher Session #1 - Live via Zoom

7:30-8:00 Teacher Session #2 - Live via Zoom

A link to the principal message and individual staff Zoom Sessions will be sent out privately to parents via IC in the afternoon on Thursday, September 3^rd in preparations for the evening sessions. Specials teachers and specialists will have a prerecorded message for parents and will be hosting office hours for parents to pop in and ask questions or see them throughout the two sessions. This information will also be included in the message sent to parents in the afternoon on Thursday, September 3^rd.

A Note on School Picture Day and Family Pictures

At this time, we have postposed our fall school pictures and annual Family Pictures. We are working with the picture company to reschedule the pictures for a later date in the winter. Mrs. Matthews will notify families when our new dates have been determined.

Distance Learning Resources for Parents

Over the past several months, our school and district have been working to create resources for parents to help support their children at home with distance learning. As a result, I have provided links to the various resources for you to reference throughout distance learning. Examples of some of the tools at your fingertips include recordings of the recent Parent Universities, directions for parent access to Schoology and SeeSaw, tips for managing tech. at home, and tutorials for apps. such as Zoom, Padlet, and Flipgrid.

School Visitor Protocol

We are excited to welcome back small groups of students and parents to our school buildings at the start of the 2020-21 school year. In order to make sure everyone stays safe, the district has worked to put many protocols in place. Things will look very different from previous years, so please take some time to review these protocols before visiting our schools by clicking on the link to the protocols below.

Welcome Back!!! It was great to see many of our students and families during our first three days of Meet the Teacher, and we are looking forward to connecting with the rest of the students and their parents next week! I hope our students enjoyed the first two days back to school as much as our staff did. I know it felt great to have all of our students back together in classes, even though it was virtual!!

Monday Morning Showcase – Welcome Kick-Off Event!!!

On Monday morning, Mrs. Matthews and Mrs. Corey are hosting a Welcome Kick-Off during our morning showcase from 8:00-8:30 a.m.! It is our first day of school for kindergarteners, so we will have all of our students officially starting! Links for the showcase will be shared in the students’ normal daily schedule/template from the classroom teachers! Kindergarten through 3rd Grade will be from 8:00-8:15 a.m. and 4^th and 5^th Grade will be 8:15-8:30 a.m.
