Great Grove Reads

The Flashback Four: The Lincoln Project by Dan Gutman

When four kids are invited to attend a special once-in-a-lifetime event they are skeptical; especially when they find out that the special event is to travel back in time to get a picture of Abraham Lincoln giving the Gettysburg Address. They have been chosen by an eccentric billionaire whose passion is to have photos of the greatest moments in history. With her vast fortune she has created a special machine (that looks like a SMART board) that can transport people back in time...but only once to a specific time. Therefore, the kids have to the get the shot or risk never being able to do it again. It is an excellent machine and an excellent plan but the kids also want to explore and that is when the best laid plans start to go awry. If you are looking for a great book filled with time travel, history and adventure, try this first book in the latest series from Dan Gutman.
