The Grove Grizzly
Thank you to all of our room parents and parent volunteers for wonderful Halloween parties for our students!! It was great to see so many parents and family members present to see our students in their costumes!

Cold Weather Procedures
Now that the cold weather and snow is officially upon us, I would like to make sure that parents are aware of our cold weather procedures. During the winter months, our students will go outside for recess as much as possible. If the temperature or wind chill is zero degrees or below the students will remain inside for recess. When the wind chill is above zero students will be outside. As a result, please be sure to send your children to school fully dressed to be outside for recess. It is also recommended that students bring layers such as sweatshirts and sweaters to take on and off as well. In order for students to play in the snow at school, they must have a winter coat, snow pants, boots, gloves, and a hat or earmuffs, as we want them to stay dry and be able to return to the classroom in the afternoon and concentrate on learning. We will try to have extra items for students at school in the case that they forget, but it is beneficial for students to bring all of these items each day during the winter so they are prepared no matter what. In addition, students should have a pair of gym shoes to wear during the school day while in class and in order to participate safely in P.E.

Attendance the Week of Thanksgiving
School is in session for two days during the week of Thanksgiving. It is important that students are in attendance on Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th!

Whether you can only stop in one time or you want to help once a month,  everyone is always welcome and the help is greatly appreciated. Feel free to bring younger siblings with you.
Stop by without signing up or use the link below to let our chairperson, Jen Scott, know you will be there to help. Any questions can be emailed to mrs_jenniferscott@yahoo.com

Are you looking for a place to donate your kid’s used books?
Are they still in good condition?

Each year, Station Middle School hosts Barrington Giving days. This year the library is looking for gently used or like-new copies of popular titles for Kindergarten to 5th grade for students in need, to choose from!

If you have books that you no longer want, you may drop them off at the Grove library between November 4-20, 2019. Mrs. Banach will have boxes for donations. All books collected will
be sent to Station for Barrington Giving Days.

A BIG thank you to our Grove families for participating in our fall box tops collections! We submitted $307.70 worth of clipped box tops! Our grand total for the fall including the app totals is $361.70!
Please keep clipping your box tops and scanning your receipts! After winter break we will start collecting for our spring deadline!
