Thank you to all of our parents who completed the 5 Essentials Survey! We reached the goal of having at least 20% participation and should be receiving the results this summer.

A giant “Thank You” to all of those families who donated towards our recent conference dinners. Our teachers and staff always greatly appreciate this special treat. The tradition of providing dinner during conferences, as well as all our other events, would not be possible without help from our Grove families. Thank you again for your continued support!

220BOSS (Barrington Online Summer School):

Current first through fifth grade Barrington 220 students can engage in a unique learning opportunity to extend and enrich their learning via online classes during the summer. Courses focus on enriched learning activities integrating many subject areas. Online summer school is not replacing traditional summer school offerings, but is an additional opportunity available to families. Families may participate in both traditional and online summer school. Although 220BOSS courses were designed for online learning, many of the activities and lessons include hands-on activities at home, not necessarily using technology. The complete 220BOSS Online Course Catalog details the course offerings, grade level, and which sessions each course is offered. Registration for 220BOSS courses can be accessed through RegWerks as in past years. Session I runs from June 7, 2021 - July 1, 2021. Session II runs from July 12, 2021 - August 5, 2021. There is no class on Fridays. Students can enroll in up to two courses per session.

Social Emotional Support for Students

As our students continue to navigate our consistently changing landscape due to COVID 19, we are continuously considering how our children are coping and their overall mental health. Please know that our school and district are here to support our students who are struggling and may benefit from additional resources. Please see the attached letter regarding this and view the short video explaining how families can access the online META app that is also available to connect students with counselors while at home. Please also keep in mind that parents can contact our school based support directly by emailing our Social Worker, Mr. Walcott, at cwalcott@barrington220.org or our School Psychologist, Tonya Tompkins-Wisz, at ttompkins@barrington220.org.

Moretti’s Unique Events space located at 2525 W. Higgins Rd, Hoffman Estates, for three different shifts. Our final packing sessions for the school year are Tuesday, April 6th, and Tuesday, May 4th.

All doors will be open at Moretti’s to improve circulation, so please dress warmly and bring your mask.

Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to help at this time.

If you are unable to attend and have already signed up, please make sure to delete your spot. We want to secure enough volunteers and plan the day accordingly. Unfortunately, walk-in volunteers cannot be allowed at this time.
