Kindergarten Round-Up for the 2022-2023 School Year
Parents of our incoming kindergarten students are invited to attend our Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday, February 1st at 6:30 p.m. At this time, parents will hear an overview of the kindergarten programs, meet kindergarten staff, ask questions, and have the opportunity to pre-register for the 2021-2022 school year. Please be sure to note:
The meeting is in-person (no livestream option is available)
The meeting will be held in the Grove music room
Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
Use ENTRANCE 1, on Cook and Illinois St. to enter the building

More detailed informational sessions for parents interested in Spanish Dual Language or Chinese Immersion programs are being held virtually. Elementary Parent University - “Supporting Your Elementary Child in Mathematics”
Please join us for an Elementary Parent University, "Supporting Your Elementary Child in Mathematics" on February 8th, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Susan Resnick, author and researcher, will share valuable information about Math in Focus: Singapore Math, our district math program, as well as practical ideas for assisting your child at home.
You can attend either in-person, which is open to the first 50 people who register or watch via Livestream. More information about this event is attached and linked here. Please be sure to register by completing this short form.

5 Essentials Survey
Please click on the links below to a letter regarding an important survey for the parents of Grove Avenue School. The results of this survey will be included as a portion of our official School Report Card and school ranking next fall. As a result, your participation and input is important, as we need at least 20% of our parent population to participate. Students in grades four and five, as well as, the Grove Avenue Staff will be participating in the survey.
The survey will be open until the beginning of April, but please take a few minutes to complete the survey as soon as possible. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Due to the fact that our district office is located in Lake County, parents will need to choose Lake County at the login page in order to then access the Grove link. Links to the survey site are included in the letter! Please feel free to contact Mrs. Matthews directly with any questions regarding the survey.
Reminders

Please make sure that your child is dressed to be outside for recess! We will go outside as long as the temperature and/or wind chill are above zero!!
