Teacher Appreciation Week
This year's "All Star" Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6) is here! Please consider volunteering to help make this week extra special for our teachers and staff. Monday, May 2nd: Teachers will be treated to a Monday morning "Slam Dunk" Breakfast. Sign-up here to help set-up breakfast and help replenish food/drinks in the staff lounge.
Tuesday, May 3rd: Students and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite sports jersey/t-shirt. Students may also bring in a flower to build bouquets for their teacher. Sign-up here here to help collect and arrange the flowers. A volunteer is needed for each classroom.
Wednesday, May 4th: Students will write an "MVP award" for their teacher. Feel free to use this MVP template or write one of your own. Additionally, you can view the The Teacher Favorite Things List to add a little special treat if you feel inclined!
Thursday, May 5th: During the afternoon, staff will be treated to a "Concession Stand Trolley" that will visit their classroom with snacks and a beverage. Sign-up here to volunteer to deliver these much needed afternoon snacks!
Friday May 6th: Staff will be treated to a Taco Truck during their lunch time. Sign-up here to help volunteer for our Friday Finale Lunch.

Yearbook Update
Customization of the two free pages for the TreeRing yearbooks are due! Please be sure to customize your child’s pages ASAP if you have not already done so! If you have any questions, please email Sam at dmb161@aol.com.

School Supply Drive for Ukrainian Children
District 220 and Grove Avenue School are participating in a school supply drive for Ukrainian children
between now and May 4th. Barrington 220 schools are working with non-profit organizations to collect school supplies for Ukrainian refugee children. Collection items include backpacks, lunch boxes, reusable water bottles, pens, highlighters, markers, crayons, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, scissors, glue sticks, rulers, toothbrushes and toothpaste. All donated items should be new and not used. Donation boxes are located at the front of our school building. Backpack kits will be put together. Barrington Education Foundation Spring Teacher Tributes Now Available!
As summer approaches, please consider sending your child's teacher or favorite staff member off with a Teacher Tribute. Your donation to the Barrington 220 Educational Foundation in your teacher's name allows the Foundation to continue funding grants and resources to students and staff. Each recipient will receive a certificate and you may add a personal message. In addition, they will be recognized on the Foundation's website. The deadline to submit a donation is Wednesday, May 18. Reminders
The last day of school for elementary students is Wednesday, June 1st. Please note, this may be different for seniors in high school or other high school students who take finals. There are no final exams at the elementary level.
