Their homeroom teacher will be in the room with them. Please note: if you have a 4th grader in choir, they will go directly to the music room instead of their homeroom class.
  • Performance Time: 6:30 PM

Thank you again for all of your support! The students are excited to perform for you!

School Store Parent Volunteers Needed!!!

Our school store is back up and running on Fridays during our lunch hours! We are in need of parent volunteers to come in and help with students’ purchasing items at the school store. If you would like to sign-up to volunteer, please click on the link to the Sign-Up Genius with dates and times! Thank you in advance for your help, as students love to visit the school store!

Grove Family Picture Wall and Humans of Grove Avenue site!!

All of our Grove Family Pictures are now hanging up on the wall outside of the main office for our students, staff, and families to see and enjoy! We are also inviting families to submit a little blurb about their family to be included in our Humans of Grove Avenue web page that we have created just for Grove Families! I shared an example of my own blurb about my family for the site during our Parent Back to School Night! A QR code will be added next to the picture of each family picture up on the wall, which will take individuals to the story of each family. Please click on the link to the Humans of Grove Avenue Google Form to submit your family story to be included on our site and linked to the QR code for your picture. If you did not take a family photo during the Grove Family Pictures, you CAN still participate by submitting a picture and your story to the Google Form!! We would love to have all of our Grove families represented on the wall and web page!

Hour of Code

Hour of Code begins next week! Every year in December, millions of students celebrate Computer Science Education Week with the Hour of Code. This year, Hour of Code runs from December 5th through the 11th. Hourofcode.org describes this week as "a global movement designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science." Our students will be celebrating Hour of Code and focusing on coding with our STEM and Library Teachers (and possibly in their classrooms too!) in the weeks leading up to winter break! There are also things that you can do with your students at home! Check out the link and QR Code in the flyer below for resources for students to learn the basics of coding through fun activities at home!!
