Winter Spirit Fun Before Break

We will be having three fun winter spirit days leading up to our Winter Break! Students and staff are invited to join in on dressing up according to the following themes and dates:

  • Monday, December 20th - Ugly Sweaters (wear any ugly sweater, it not necessary for ugly sweaters to be related to holidays)

  • Tuesday, December 21st - Flannel and Fleece Day

  • Wednesday, December 22nd - Pajama Day and Winter Parties (1:15 p.m.)

Home Internet Security Over WINTER BREAK - Reminder

Winter break is just around the corner and it’s a good time to review your home Internet security plan and discuss responsible tech use with your student. With a break from school, students are likely to spend more unsupervised time using their iPad. Please click on the link to a 1 page document with suggestions, resources, and reminders for parents in order to help keep students safe on their devices at home!

iPAD STORAGE

The winter break is a great time for students to work on clearing items off their iPads by offloading some apps and pictures. Students can go through their iPads and eliminate any clutter that they do not need for school or upcoming assignments.  It helps the iPad run more efficiently and allows for updates to go through. With standardized testing coming up again in January, it is beneficial to have storage available for the testing apps to be installed and run properly. Click on the link for directions on how to Manage iPad Storage.

Lost and Found

Please encourage your child to check the lost and found before leaving for winter break! Once again it is getting full and we will be clearing it out and donating any items that are left after school on Wednesday, December 22nd. Parents are also welcome to come in and check the lost and found for their children’s items!!

Winter Break Travel Reminders

As we start to prepare for the winter break, I wanted to just provide a few reminders for our community in regards to the guidance we have in terms of returning to school following travel. These recommendations are in place to help us all take responsibility and do our part in keeping our community safe and our students in school. Please see the information below in order to help make decisions about your plans for the upcoming holidays and when it is most appropriate for students to return to school following travel.

Q:  My family is planning DOMESTIC travel. What implications does that have for my students when they return?

A: Barrington 220 advises you to consult with the most up to-date CDC guidance linked below, as vaccination status will impact the types of mitigation needed before, during, and after domestic travel:
