2024-2025 ONLINE REGISTRATION 

Online Registration for the 2023-24 school year will open on Tuesday, May 2nd! 

Families planning to attend Barrington 220 Schools in August will need to register and update student and family demographic information. Students can not be officially enrolled in the 2024-25 school year until Online Registration is completed.

Please note: students can only be registered by their legal guardian (of student(s) primary household).

The link to registration will be in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account on Wednesday, May 1st. 

Parents are asked to update family and student contact information, medical information, and to submit all required annual parent permission forms when completing Online Registration. Following a review of your registration documents, a confirmation email will be sent. Please allow 5-7 working days for that email to arrive. 

Please note: If you have a new address or if you need to add a new student since your last registration, you will need to submit proof of address along with your registration application.

Inscripción en Línea 2024-2025

¡La inscripción en línea para el año escolar 2023-24 estará disponible el miércoles 1 de mayo!

Las familias que planean asistir a las Escuelas de Barrington 220 en agosto deben inscribirse y actualizar la información demográfica del estudiante y la familia. Los estudiantes no pueden matricularse oficialmente en el año escolar 2024-25 hasta que se complete la inscripción en línea.

Tenga en cuenta: los estudiantes solo pueden ser inscritos por su tutor legal (del hogar principal del estudiante).

El enlace para inscribirse estará en su cuenta del Portal de Padres de Infinite Campus el miércoles 1 de mayo. 

Se les pide a los padres que actualicen la información de contacto de la familia y el estudiante, información médica y que envíen todos los formularios anuales de permiso de los padres requeridos al completar la inscripción en línea. Luego de una revisión de sus documentos de registro, se le enviará un correo electrónico de confirmación. Espere de 5 a 7 días hábiles para que llegue ese correo electrónico.

Tenga en cuenta: si tiene una nueva dirección de domicilio o si necesita agregar un nuevo estudiante desde su último registro, debe enviar un comprobante de domicilio junto con su solicitud de registro.

SPRING BENCHMARKING CONTINUES THIS WEEK

We will continue our spring benchmarking assessments with students this coming week. All students in grades K-2 participate in Fastbridge Assessments for reading and math. The Fastbridge reading and math assessments will conitnue this week and into next week.  All students in grades 2-5 participate in the MAP Assessments for both reading and math. MAP assessments will also continue this week. Grove is also piloting the Fastbridge MySaebrs assessment (a social, academic, emotional screener), so students in 2nd-5th grade will participate in this assessment in May. I have included a link directly to the district letter for spring with details regarding our assessments for your convenience. Please reach out to your child’s teacher or Mrs. Matthews with any questions.

Grove Spring Open House and Book Fair 

We will be hosting a Spring Open House and Book Fair on Thursday, May 16th! This is an opportunity for parents to come to school with their children to view some of the work that is currently in progress in their child’s classroom, walk through the building to view artwork, take home student artwork from the year, and purchase books from the book fair for summer reading! This is a casual evening for families to come and go based on what works for their schedule anytime within the 6:00-7:30 p.m. window. Ice pops will be served in the MPR and outside (weather permitting) for families to mingle and enjoy a treat together before they leave. 

This year, our 3rd graders will be participating in an informal performance during the event. The performance will be at 6:45 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room! All 3rd graders will be performing at the same time. 

Summer School Course Registration is Open 

Summer school in Barrington begins on Monday, June 3, 2023 for all grade levels. Course catalogs are available on our summer school webpage and registration for all levels is open and can be completed by visiting the summer school webpage! Please note that summer school will not be held at Grove. I have included the information below regarding programs for Grove Students: 

• The elementary summer school program that is traditionally held at Barbara B. Rose Elementary will be returning to Rose this summer, as construction will be completed. This program serves students from Countryside, Grove, Sunny Hill and Rose. 

• The Jump Start and Dual Language programs traditionally held at Sunny Hill Elementary will be held at Hough Street School.
