The Grove Grizzly A Note from Mrs. Matthews Barrington Giving Days There is still time to contribute to Barrington Giving Days. Our school is still collecting Baby Wipes. Other items such as new winter clothing can also be donated. All items must be brought in by December 4th. For more information about Barrington Giving Days, please click on the link to the webpage.   Winter Wear Please make sure that your child comes to school with a hat, gloves, scarf, boots, and snow pants each day. Students must have boots and snow pants in order to play in the snow. We do allow students the opportunity to sled on a rotating basis during lunch recess, but they must be properly dressed in order to participate. It is highly recommended that you write your child’s name or initials in all of their items. It is also beneficial for students to dress in layers so that they can remain comfortable throughout the school day!   Please Be On TIME!!! This is a friendly reminder that the school day begins at 8:00 a.m., which means that all students should be in their classrooms by this time. As a result, students should be arriving to school between 7:40 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. Students who arrive at 8:00 a.m. are late for the beginning of the day and missing out on important morning routines and announcements, as well as, the beginning of instruction and specials.   1st Grade, 4th Grade, and Choir Concert On Thursday, December 13th our 1st Grades, 4th Grades, and Choir will be having their music concert. The students will be performing for the whole school at 1 p.m. in the afternoon. There will be limited seating available during this performance for parents or family members to attend. The evening performance for parents and families will be at 6:30 p.m. and should have plenty of seating. Grove Travel Mug is back! The cost is $10 and quantities are limited, so order early!!
