Thank you to all of our parents who attended our Parent Curriculum Night on Thursday evening! It was great to see so many parents in attendance to learn about their child’s classroom and commit to a collaborative partnership with our teachers for the year!
Also, a big thank you goes out to our parents for their help with our drop-off and pick-up procedures before and after school. It has been so beneficial to have cars on Grove Avenue, separate from the busses.
Back to School Bash
The Grove Avenue PTO is excited to host the 4thAnnual Back to School Bash! This is our school’s biggest annual family fun night and fundraiser. Prepare to enjoy a wonderful night of games and entertainment for the whole family!
In order to make this event a great success, we need your help! The Bash is only fun and successful through the collective volunteering efforts of our entire school. Please consider signing up to help with set-up, food sales, games, clean up, etc. If you are unable to volunteer, please consider sponsoring your favorite game, entertainment or refreshment. Stop the BleedKits Fundraising Campaign
Barrington Rotary Clubs are conducting a fundraising campaign within our local community in order to purchase a Stop the Bleed First Aid Kit for every classroom in District #220, as well as, local private schools. In the event of an emergency, having advanced first aide kits in classrooms throughout our schools will allow treatment of student injuries to be provided 7 to 10 minutes before professional aid arrives. This 7 to 10 minute jump-start can be key to patient survival! Please consider helping the Barrington Breakfast & Noon Rotary Clubs and Barrington 220 supply every classroom with a kit by making a donation. $38 provides one kit. The campaign is running from now until the end of Safety Week in September. Donations can be made by going to www.STBBarrington.com.
Paramedics from the Barrington Fire Department will provide hand-on training to classroom teachers and school administrators who will be called upon to perform life-saving treatment until professional help arrives.
