The Grove Grizzly
Registration for Next School Year
Online registration for the 2020-2021 school year is now open!! Please register your child for next year as soon as possible. This helps us in our planning for staff and classrooms for next school year! Details regarding registration can be found on the district registration webpage.

End of the Year Materials Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Our staff is currently in the process of packing up students’ items from their desks, lockers, and cubbies. We will then be holding a materials pick-up and drop-off for families during the week of May 18th – May 22nd. Families will be provided with specific dates and times to come to Grove during that week. We will be maintaining social distancing throughout this process in order to keep everyone safe, so it will be critical that families follow the guidelines that will be shared next week.

5th Grade Farewell – Save the Date
We will be holding our 5th Grade Farewell Ceremony this year virtually on Thursday, May 21s at 6:30 p.m. Information regarding the details for the event will be sent out directly to fifth grade families next week. Typically, the ceremony is immediately followed by a celebration with students and their families at Grove. It is our hope to be able to hold an in-person celebration for fifth grade students and their families later in the summer, however, because it is unknown as to whether or not we will be able to do so, we want to make sure that we celebrate and recognize our fifth-grade students before the end of the school year with our virtual version of our traditional ceremony. We hope that all fifth-grade families will save the date to join us virtually on the evening of May 21st!

Barrington 220 Summer School to be Held Virtually
The coronavirus pandemic has unfortunately canceled many upcoming plans. In Barrington 220 all summer athletic camps and activities are canceled. However, in an effort to continue providing learning opportunities for our students, summer school courses will be offered virtually for the summer of 2020. We encourage students to take advantage of these opportunities to continue learning over the summer, especially given the unique conclusion to this school year.
All online summer school programs will still be held as scheduled Monday-Thursday over the following dates:

Please note, due to the shift to online summer school, some previously offered courses are no longer available. All students who previously enrolled in courses that are no longer being offered in the virtual format will receive full refunds within 30 days, to the credit card that was used during registration. If you’re interested in a course that is still being offered, you must register for it. You can not use the money from a canceled course as a credit toward registration of a new course.
