THE BIG Event

We will be holding our BIG Event for students this coming Thursday, May 20th! This is our celebration of all of the reading that our students completed during the family reading program this year! As part of the celebration, students will participate in the following activities:

  • Allan Woodrow author presentation (he is the author of our FRP Book The Pet War)

  • SOUL Harbour Ranch Therapy Animal visit

  • Traveling World of Reptile Show

  • D.J. dance party

  • KONA Icee Truck

Students will also have the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary hot pizza lunch on Thursday. Sign-up for the lunch choice (cheese or pepperoni) has already been sent to the parents of all students both in-person and remote. Classroom teachers of our remote students are sharing the schedules for the day with their classes and an RSVP to participate in-person or virtually has been shared with remote families as well. The Soul Harbour Ranch presentation, Allan Woodrow’s presentation, and the Traveling World of Reptiles presentation will be streamed for students to watch virtually if they are not coming in-person to participate.

Students should wear their Family Reading Program t-shirts for the BIG event!!

Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year

Online Registration for the 2021-22 school year is open. All families planning to attend Barrington 220 schools in August will need to register and update student and family demographic information by May 28th. Students can not be officially registered for the 2021-22 school year until registration is completed. Click on the link for information shared with parents with directions to complete registration in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

Spring MAP and Fastbridge Assessments

This spring, we will not be assessing all students for MAP or Fastbridge as we would like to maximize the instructional time that we have available between now and the end of May. As a result, we will utilize these assessments for a small group of students in order to determine specific programming for the fall, and we will resume testing all students at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

Attention Families!! Important - Material Return Requested!!

During this school year, we have sent many materials home with our students to support distance learning, including books, science materials, and math manipulatives/materials (i.e. blocks, place value chips, etc). In May, we will be taking inventory of our classroom materials to determine what we need for the 2021-2022 school year. To help us be fiscally responsible in this process, please help your child gather and return all classroom materials to your classroom teacher when they are no longer used. Thank you for your partnership!
