What: Mr. Gorman will be sharing information with parents about Internet safety outside of the district and providing resources to help parents communicate with their children about establishing boundaries when using media and online resources at home. In addition, he will demonstrate for parents how to set up parent control restrictions and he will share parent management techniques for Barrington 220-issued student iPads. Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the use of school devices at home.

Winter Clothing Reminder
This is just a quick reminder that all students in grades kindergarten – 5th Grade need to come prepared with winter clothing for recess. Students go outside all year unless the temperature or wind chill is below zero so they need to have winter coats, gloves, snow pants, boots, hats, and scarves on a daily basis. Even if there is not snow on the ground, snow pants are great for keeping students warm on cold days and highly recommended for students to wear every day!!!

Referendum 220

All community members are encouraged to attend and ask questions. The agenda at all Community Information Meetings will be the same (short presentation, followed by Q&A).

5 Essentials Survey
Please click on the links below to a letter regarding an important survey for the parents of Grove Avenue School. The results of this survey will be included as a portion of our official School Report Card and school ranking next fall. As a result, your participation and input is important, as we need at least 20% of our parent population to participate. Students in grades four and five, as well as, the Grove Avenue Staff will be participating in the survey.

The survey will be open until February 14th, but please take a few minutes to complete the survey as soon as possible.
